Alex Tallon

Alex practises commercial law, with a focus on market practices, trademark law and distribution law.
Alex is active in litigation and conflict analysis, and is thus involved in a practice of mediation and arbitration. He is a member of the Belgian arbitration centre Cepani.
He is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the KU Leuven (University of Leuven) where he teaches a course on pleading techniques.
From 2008 to 2010, Alex was the President of the Dutch-speaking Bar Association of Brussels (NOAB) and from 2017 to 2020, he was a board member of the OVB (Organisation of the Flemish Bar in Brussel) in charge of deontology. He is currently a member of the Belgian delegation to the CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe).
Alex is also a former Chairman of the Belgian Committee of the UIA (International Bar Association) and is a member of the UIA and the IBA (International Bar Association).
He publishes and gives lectures in both Dutch and French, mainly on subjects related to market practices and deontology.
As a hobby, Alex is interested in appellations of origin (agricultural and wine). He loves reading novels and biographies in Dutch, French and English. He also likes to travel.
Alex is perfectly bilingual French-Dutch and also works in English.
