Amicable Settlement Chambers.

On 24 and 25 March 2026, Helena De Backer once again took part in a high-level training program organized by the Judicial Training Institute in Brussels.

The program was designed for judges interested in serving within a Chamber for Amicable Settlement (KMS/CRA).

This forward‑looking initiative plays a key role in advancing alternative dispute resolution methods.

Judges today do more than apply the law, they act as facilitators of dialogue, assisting parties in reaching an amicable agreement within the KMS/CRA, referring them to mediation when appropriate, and guiding them toward the most effective path to resolving their disputes.
